A2289 2020 Macbook Pro dead after a water spill.
After careful cleaning of the corrosion, the worst affected chips were removed and replaced. Still no power
with power applied to the logic board, it was placed under the thermal imaging camera where one of the chips responsible for power and charge lit right up.
Once this little guy was replaced we have a fully functioning Macbook Pro.
As ever, fixed at a fraction of the cost of Apple who had quoted our customer a ridiculous price for replacing the logicboard and screen too – Which there was nothing wrong with. Why do they do this? They do not care about your data, or your device – They just want to push for a new sale.
