HP laptop, very erratic behaviour and screen doing weird things, keyboard not working, laptop not charging. When asked if there had been a spill – “No chance, no way. Impossible.”. Hmmm, okay.On inspection something wet in there and sticky. Smells like fruit juice. Can even feel it in the keyboard.
Advised our customer and sent pictures, ” But my son swore blind nothing had happend !” – These things happen !
Cleaned all the corrosion off, replaced some capacitors and a resistor, cleaned they keyboard connector, and everyone is back at the party, at a fraction of the price of buying a new laptop.
