This M1 MacBook came in with comprehensive liquid damage. Not charging, not turning on – Nothing. The worst area shown here is the speaker audio amplifier area, which is connected to PPBUS – The main power rail that supplies power to all the other power rails.

All the corrosion was cleared, and some minor components were replaced. The left audio amp driver IC was totalled. It was removed, a replacement taken from a similar logic board, the solder from under it was removed with fresh solder balls applied. These are tiny at just 0.2mm!

And boom, a fully working MacBook Pro again.
