Valve Steam Deck wouldn’t charge after being knocked whilst charging.
This came to us after a previous failed attempt to replace the USB-C port.
On inspection having removed the old USB port, a tiny component had been knocked off the board.
This was identified as some sort of filter which was taken from a MacBook board and soldered in to place, the new USB port was then soldered on.
All working perfectly now. Taking 15V 2.5 amps – Charging up nicely.
