At Mycomputerworks & Macrehab we specialise in Macbook liquid damage repair, but why stop there and not share the love for PC based laptops ?
As soon as liquid damage occurs it need be taken to a specialist ASAP. The whole time the battery is connected there is power to the motherboard which will be corroding componenets until the battery power is spent, by which time the damage can be quite severe. Putting it in an airing cupoard will only expedite the corrosion, and putting it in a bag of rice does absolutely nothing. You need open the laptop and put it keyboad down on a tea towel on the edge of a table.
